ETA International Student Chapter Excellence Award

The ETA International Student Chapter Excellence Award recognizes two registered ETA International student chapters for their active involvement in the world of electronics, and also supports a continuance of such dedication to both our organization and the electronics field itself. With the ever-evolving nature of electronics, ETA International applauds those chapters who are able to incorporate and adapt to the abundance of change new technology and knowledge produce. ETA International, as an organization committed to fostering the growth of electronics internationally, honors those chapters who actively demonstrate an effort to work collectively to promote opportunity for group education, communication, and activism in the field of electronics.

$250 & $100

Additional Award Information:
In addition to a wall certificate and monetary award, winners will be recognized on the ETA 
International website (www.eta-i.org) and will also be featured in the bi-monthly publication of The High Tech News.

2008 ETA Educational and Leadership Conference, October 12-15, 2008 – French Lick Resort and
Casino

Application Requirements:

  • Must be an active chapter of ETA International
  • Must be representative of both ETA International and Electronic Technicians worldwide
  • Must demonstrate both active and current involvement in the field of electronics
  • Must demonstrate an effort to further and enhance knowledge and activity in the field of electronics

 

Please submit a 500-800 word essay addressing the following questions/topics:

  1. In what ways has your chapter been successful in representing both ETA International and the field of electronics as a whole?
  2. How has your chapter demonstrated an effort to remain current, and enhance both knowledge and participation in the field of electronics?
  3. What other attributes make your chapter the best candidate for the ETA International Student Chapter Excellence Award?

Letters of Recommendation from faculty advisors or school officials, speaking to your chapter’s activism, attributes, and success in fostering growth of education and participation in the field of electronics, are also encouraged.
